We are the age group that appears on that programme and we too have an awful lot of bedrooms and we live in the back of beyond

When we get old old, then yes we will downsize and move to where we can access medical services and shops but until then I love all my bedrooms, and yes, sometimes we still have bods sleeping on the sofa or on put you ups

Children and Grandchildren need to be catered for , I still have mine staying over , just wish i had enough bedrooms and en-suite .

All those escape to the country programmes are years old .
The properties they are looking at will be far more expensive today .

I like ETTC but haven't watched it in a while.
It used to annoy me how even when suitable houses were found and the participants 'raved' about them they rejected them all in the end.

The cynic in me wondered who paid the hotel bills and expense and if the whole thing had been a min holiday with the participants having no intention of purchasing a house.

They're probably all actors employed to make reality entertainment shows. The same people will get a change of clothes and be wearing disguises the following week and appear on quiz shows and X Factor.

I always watch it, but have you notice, no one every buys the Properties, I think they just want to be on the show.
