Patient's relative 'dies after being sucked into MRI machine'

What a strange and very nasty thing to happen. It doesnīt bear thinking about. Iīm at a bit of a loss to understand why a visitor would be going to see a patient in the MRI area, and even more at a loss to understand why he would be taking a gas cylinder with him.

I donīt know Julie, but I believe there are some excellent hospitals in India. I suppose it depends whether or not it was one of the good ones, or one of the not so good ones. I still think it weird that anyone would be visiting a patient in an MRI area, even weirder that anyone would be taking a gas cylinder when visiting a patient. Surely the gas cylinder could have been left at a reception area or somewhere.

Not much in the way of compensation by western standards - five and half K, but quite an amount in India I would assume?

I find this very hard to believe..or They must all be brain dead in that particular hospital.

Yes I didn't mean all Indian hospitals are bad but I have heard some hair raising things about poorer ones.

Very sad indeed. One just never knows when it's our time. I can guarantee that poor young man never thought such a fluke accident could ever happen.
