Another 'medical appt this morning, so on my way home will swing past the pie shop and pick up a couple of pies for lunch.

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

As I wanted the local PO and Co-op I went to the new pie and mash shop in the parade near where I grew up, so thought I'd give it a try.

Hmmm...disappointing, but I wasn't going to tell the owner that. Sorry mate. I did lie and say it was nice. We have a Manzes in our market but that has gone downhill and so I usually, when I am there for the day, visit Robins in Romford.

Tonight may be just egg on toast.

Lunch = was a bacon and tomato sandwich.

Dinner - I am trying Susiejaeger's recipe for chicken marinade - with new potatoes, celery, carrots and butter beans.

It’s been unseasonably hot here these past few days so the BBQ has been used since Wednesday. Today I had grilled halloumi cheese and salad , was absolutely lovely.

Absolutely delicious, thank you - will certainly do it again.

Lunch = Cheese toastie

Dinner = Ham and Cheese salad, followed by Rhubarb and Custard.

One of my neighbours has an excellent rhubarb patch!!
