He was one of the highest-profile celebrity pro-EU campaigners during the Brexit referendum and famously led a flotilla on the River Thames.
But Bob Geldof today unleashed a blistering attack on the European Union - saying it does not work and that Brussels quickly needs a radical overhaul.
Speaking at Trinity College Dublin, Geldof also said there could be a European war within a generation or two as the West moves towards nationalism and populism.
The man's an idiot. Can't make his silly mind up. Too many drugs, perhaps.

Re: Roger Daltrey On Brexit

Well said Roger Daltrey.

As for Bob Geldholf, Talk about speaking with a forked tongue!
How can anyone ever forget the spectacle of watching our television screens as this vile, elitist has-been stood alongside all of those other pampered fools on a boat on the Thames, mocking and giving the finger to the fishermen protesting about the loss of their jobs and the Fishing Industry as a whole since joining the EU.

When I saw his sneering mug I would have given anything to have tipped a whole bucket of rotten fish over his head!

Update on fishing:

If anyone thinks leaving the EU will turn the clock back 40 years, think again.

So leaving the EU equals leaving the single market unless you are into double think of the current scrambled eggsit.
Where are you going to sell your fish? Canada? China? Australia? or anywhere where there isn't a coastline?

Flicker, this is the BBC reporting, they are constantly attacking and digging up anything to put Brexit, in a bad light.
We don't care. BBC can throw up as much pro Europe shit as they want.. we listened hard before the vote, and the 'Remainers' and Mr Cameron's Government could NOT put ONE positive point forward about staying in the EU it was all on negative points of what 'Might' happen if we leave.

So we already know the pro's and cons, they gave us a jolly good foresight.

Bob Geldoff; well he did disgrace himself on the Thames, never the same again in my eyes. Stupid sod !

This was a House of Lords parliamentary report picked up by all sorts of news outlets.

as for what might happen if you leave...you havent' left yet.
You won't know whether their projections are true for another five years at least. however the seeds of those being correct are already there.

I am concerned about your not caring...I thought it was me who doesn't like the UK. Don't you care what happens to it?

Sorry I doubt if you have actually thought this through.

You now today have enough fish to supply a British and a EU market.
You want to expand your fleet. Lots ore boats.
Yet you think you can sell all your catch in the UK???

Could you please explain how that works?

We stop stocking foreign imports and stock our own catches. We eat a lot of fish inthis country not much of it British.
