Re: GP tomorrow.

Sounds promising Nom At least they will be doing some tests and investigations, I hope they will come up with some treatment that will give you more mobility in your hands.

Re: GP tomorrow.

Nom, as we get older we all find new health problems but, if your doctor has listened and is now referring you to consultants, then you can hope to get the best treatment they can offer.
Please keep us up to date on progress.

Re: GP tomorrow.

I'm wondering if some of your problems came about through using the tools of your trade Nom.
My Dad was a builder and stone mason, he had trouble with his hands and my wasband no. 2 has white fingers from using drills etc. (electrician)
I don't know what treatments are available these days, I hope you get sorted.

I agree with Mags, Nom, sounds promising. The specialists will hopefully get on with some investigations and start sorting you out.
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the new appointments.

Re: GP tomorrow.

Thanks folks, yes Tess there will be an element of work related conditions, probably a cocktail of several conditions.

I struggle to type and use a computer mouse, and using thee camera is very hard now, i need to find one with a front button rather than a top one.

I will update this as and when i can .

Re: GP tomorrow.

Blood test is back, and a deficiency in Vit B12 is shown, Metformin which i take can strip this from the body.

Also a letter from the NHS to say i have been referred to the Referral Management service but my hospital has no appointments available for booking, and they will referred when one is available.

So no idea what discipline this may involve, or when it is likely to happen, just another waiting list im on bogged down with bureaucracy.

I think you should contact them and ask what action you should take, to deal with the problem, while you are on yet another waiting list.
Let them know that long NHS waiting lists are probably the reason that you need extra care from them!
