Re: Sheep's Milk

Dobra I have never had ewes milk to drink but I like ewes milk cheese including Feta.

I guess it is similar to goats milk which tastes quite sweet to me .

It does doesn't it. I don't mind goats milk and I'm guessing sheep's milk is similar.

Re: Sheep's Milk

Never tried ewe's milk, but drank only goats milk for about 20 years when I used to keep dairy goats. Here are a few benefits over cow's milk:

Goat Milk Benefits

It's easier to digest. ...
It has fewer allergenic proteins and causes less inflammation. ...
It's high in calcium and fatty acids but low in cholesterol. ...
It keeps skin looking good. ...
It absorbs nutrients and minerals better than cows' milk.

The fat glubules are smaller too and it freezes well.

I imagine sheep milk is similar - providing they are healthy outdoor sheep and not those unfortunates who spend their life inside buildings for intensive farming.

I do drink milk I admit, but we do do not need it as adults as it is only designed to be a weaning feed before a baby can manage solids.
Some schools of thought believe it can actually be harmful (in quantity) to adult dogs as adults ca not process it the same as babies anymore.

Re: Sheep's Milk

I can't see the point of drinking milk of any discription tbh, disgusting stuff

Also it's just weird to drink the milk of another animal

I admit I do have to buy some now and then for cooking and I adore cheese, just can't get my head around drinking it

Having hens, it took me a long time to be able to eat an egg

Even now five years down the line I put eggs aside to get old before I eat them. And I just couldn't eat the ducks eggs, thats just way too wrong lol
