For updating many of my folders and files across multiple PCs, I use OneDrive, but for my music collection I use Microsoft SyncToy, an old but efficient and trustworthy file synchronisation utility, which can be run on an adhoc basis or as a scheduled job - only local networking is required, no cable or internet connection.Re: How to make a disk image backup in Windows 8

All ways mentioned can be used to transfer files from one computer to another. However, it looks like JBR has found a cable that will enable the transfer of files to be done in a way that he wants to do it. I reckon that's OK too.
