He'd be a bugger to catch should they decide he was for the dinner table.

Re: 5 legged Lamb

The 5th leg is shorter than the other 4, it hangs behind the front leg , so not a problem with mobility , whether slowing it down or quickening it up.

I would be concerned at what caused it and if anymore lambs turn up with possibly two heads .

Re: 5 legged Lamb

I think if they are really going to keep him, they need to have that extra limb surgically removed first.
It doesn't seem to be able to function properly, it just hangs there, and I would imagine it will easily get caught up on things. It may also grow bigger and will cause problems. It is of no use if it is just dangling about getting caught up.

When he is a full grown Ram - unless he is castrated of course - I would not want him mating with my females.

The lamb looks fit enough and very sweet.
We have got quite a few case of Schmallenberg Virus around here, I don't think it has got as far north as Derbyshire and the results it presents are far worse.

Yes, I agree he does look very sweet Meg, all baby creatures do to me, but he won't stay that way.
I still think that limb will get injured because he can't move it to protect it.
