Help!

My computer was playing up, so I decided to Refresh the Computer, I clicked on the Refresh button, but it deleted all of my Apps, and I can't seem to get them back. I have been trying all day to fix this computer, but no such luck.

Any suggestions please.

Re: Help!

Not sure what you mean by "refresh" button.
Sounds to me as though you have gone back to your original factory settings and will now have to reload all your programs.

Re: Help!

Hi Fender, have tried System Restore, but no luck.

Purwell, if you go into Security and System in the Control Panel, you can refresh your computer without it affecting any of your files, they stay exactly the same, but this never happened and I lost most of it.

Re: Help!

Sorry Susie,

I'm out of ideas then without actually having a fiddle with it.

Re: Help!

Is it Windows 10 and is this the screen that the reset (rather than 'refresh') option was chosen from?

If so, it does say that your files will get kept but apps and settings will be removed. This is not a function I've used myself but it looks like if the top option is chosen, you'll need to reinstall apps/programs.

Re: Help!

I love the way system restore goes through the whole process before telling you it can't be done.
