Texts from the past

I received a text from my Mum this morning which didn't quite make sense. Then I realised that I had received it before........two years ago. This not the first time this has happened.

Has anyone else had texts from the past like this?

Never that long No but I often get texts going back days that I already received.
As I can only communicate via text it is confusing for me. stevmk2

I must say that this is the oldest that I have re-received.

Any techno- geniuses on here who can explain?

I used to get them on may old phone but not since I got this one that has a mind of its own and bad spelling!

Hi Longfellow yes I do get old messages and I find it very confusing .

On one occasion I contacted the message sender (my sister) and asked her if she was trying to send a message because I had just received one I had already seen a week ago. She said she hadn't touched her phone all morning.
I have had a number of these 'phantom messages' from two people.

Are you all with the same phone company, or got the same model phones by any chance?
Just wondered if there was a common denominator or something?
