My girlfriend wanted to get married, we were both 25 and had been going out since we were 18. It was only a few weeks before we were due to go on holiday and she said either we get engaged before our holidays or we finish it, i don't want to see you again.But it was ok, one of my mates managed to get time off and i went on holiday with him.

Twice, once to a lass I went out with for two years before we split up, then to my missus. We lived in sin for a year or so before getting engaged then a further year before I made an honest woman of her.
