Men In Kilts....A Good Or A Bad Look?

I must admit l don't like the look of men in kilts! Some say, stocky men look the best in kilts and that they don't suit skinny men.

For the men.. Have you ever worn a kilt? Did you get married wearing one? If you did, was it comfy and what tartan was it?

For the women... Do you like to see a man in a kilt? Has your husband/partner ever worn one?

Having lived in Scotland for a large part of my married life, I love to see the men in their kilts and full Highland regalia I also love the skirl of the bagpipes. Every year my adopted home town has the piping championships with over 400 pipers, a sight and sound to behold. I just wish with all my heart that I lived there still, they know what community means.

There's something attractive in a "warrior" sort of way, about a man in a kilt.
Not keen on knees, in general though, so a slightly longer length is more attractive.

My fil used to wear one nearly all the time, my husband has a couple of times. Personally I quite like a man in a kilt.

I think men wearing kilts can look quite dashing. Especially Sean Connery in one. Very dapper indeed.

I have never lived in Scotland although our ancestry is Scottish.

Many year ago, I was pressured into Scottish dancing and was persuaded to wear a McEwan kilt:



TBH, in a group of similarly dressed men, I felt comfortable, but walking alone, clad in a kilt, through a city's night-time streets was fraught with risk .....

Yes of course I love Men in kilts, and the Men in My Family all wear them for Weddings/Celebrations...I also quite like Men out of kilts too
