Re: End with a question (part 2)

ME! It was worth it though Abbey.
I shall really know I am getting old and miserable when I don't stay up to hear Big Ben anymore. I just love it, and the Auld Lang Syne. Such a lovely, happy atmosphere. -D

Where's out Plop Plops today. Hope he made it through the celebrations? I'm going to search for him. I'll keep an eye out for EZ while I'm gone, too . . .

Re: End with a question (part 2)

Well he said he was leaving N.Y.Eve I think, and it was to be a 25 hour flight, so he's perhaps back at his son's by now, I don't know.
I bet his little dog will go loopy to see her 'dad' again.

Dogs are so lovely and open with their emotions, don't you think?

Re: End with a question (part 2)

Gosh, let me see. . . We had the good old fashioned mongrels always as kids, then in the 60's I had a couple of Boxers, and at the same time rescued a Goldy/Collie from a pig of a man who was going to shoot him.
I think it was in about the late 70's I started with my first German Shepherd and went on to eventually breeding them for the next 30 years or so. I loved them dearly.

Then I also rescued a Lurcher puppy to add to my clan and finally, when I just had the last 2 big boys and my ageing lurcher, I got my first little Bedlington who have still got now - plus her grandaughter, niece, another I rescued and baby Gertie. Too many I know, but I can't part with them.

What about you?

Re: End with a question (part 2)

1 Cairn terrier cross

1 rescued Boxer

1 Afghan Hound

1 Irish Setter

2 miniature Dachshunds

8 Whippets ( two of them rescued )

1 rescued Lurcher

1 miniature Poodle

My Whippets and my Lurcher are by far the easiest dogs I ever had .

Is the sun shining where you are today ?

Re: End with a question (part 2)

Oh yeah, I've had a number of dogs and a number of hangovers. Still very fond of dogs, but no hangovers for a few decades now.

How many old buggers do you know who still have hangovers?

Re: End with a question (part 2)

Goodness Abbey, you're as bad as me with dogs, I knew there was a reason I liked you.

So Ploppy, what a good boy you are, managing to get through the celebrations without getting a hangover. I hope you're not fibbing to us ladies.
I too, haven't had a hangover for many years, but I do remember it is the most awful feeling while it lasts.

Do you think EZ has got up yet? Think I'll get me balloon out again and quickly cast me eye about - perhaps both eyes.

P.S. BTW, what's your dog's name Ploppy? Me and Abbey can give her a biscuit then.
