But you got there in the end!

I can't get songs up like that... probably just as well or I'd be in tears all over again

Years ago now. it was when the mother of my kids left.
God, I loved that women.
No idea she had been having an affair.
Try this version just for interest, Swim.
They take a while fiddle-farting around but eventually they get into it - and the visuals are good.
I think your chosen version is better - opera singers should stick to classical music.
(In my ever-humble opinion, of course}.

It's Kiri Te Kanawa whom Meg chose for 'One Fine day' earlier.

Sorry, I don't know how to post a direct link.

Thank you Meg.

Barry Gibb: Daddy's Little Girl. He wrote this about his daughter and her growing up. It's been known to choke me up, lol ...

Do they still make meaningful songs now? I can't think of any off the top of me head.

As a kid I would always bawl if I heard Elvis singing "Old Shep". Probably still would now.

My brother used to put the record " Old Shep " on just to make me cry . He thought it was funny

Re: Shed a tear over a song

Good question quite a few actually make me weepy, but I would have to put this one top of the list.
Epic film for me with a great made up storyline and the last time I saw two great actors on screen together before they died .
Although I do believe Oliver Reed died in the making of Gladiator.

I don't think there was a dry eye in the church.
It's a very sad song, particularly if it has real meaning to someone. I have a family member who has some experience of the song and one sad day I will insist on playing it.
