Re: I am all worn out

Well they finished and gone now.
They said the proper glass for the back door will be another 3 - 5 days, so looks like they will be back again some time next week to finish the job.

Re: I am all worn out

Who knows,Jazzi. I really hope so.

I just hope it is all fixed this time because I might well go mad if cracks start appearing again in the future.

Let's just hope the glaziers bring the right glass next week.

You won't believe this ........ the glaziers only sent me an invoice this morning!

I emailed them and said his men turned up with no glass for my back door, the wrong glass for one window, and a back door opening the wrong way, and they send me the invoice????
I said I will pay when the job is finished and not before.

He apologised.

Idiots! I presume, though, that this job has to be paid for by you?

The door is on the insurance, but I asked for the windows next to the door while they were here, as well.
They wouldn't put the windows on the claim though, so I shall have to pay for them myself.

Nothing it seems. I wish you could see it, it is hard to explain in writing.
The flooring people said there is no more they can do and it is a builders job with concrete.
Not sure I can face all the units and sink etc ripped out and starting from scratch again.

I think the insurance feel they are doing repair caused by subsidence, and it the extension was badly built in the first place, it is not their fault.

That whole end part really wants demolishing and building properly again, but I couldn't live here while that was done and have no where else to go.
I should probably get an independent opinion, but I can't keep on paying out, so I don't know the answer really Judd.

Re: I am all worn out

I having part of the patio re-laid starting Thursday, then the tiler is coming in Monday.
I have only to sort out some new blinds and I'm hoping I am finished.

Looks hopeful at long last.
