Re: Today is the day.

Yesterday I drove through the countryside and saw scores of young pheasants ( poults ) all over the place bewildered and not knowing where to go or what to do.
They have just been released and ready for the shooting season in October .
I expect a lot will get run over and some eaten by foxes the rest will be shot unless they are very lucky .

Attributing human traits to a game bird?
Maybe they had just received their GCSE results?

Re: Today is the day.

They are only a game bird because people shoot them .
They are aliving sentient animal that reared by its parents would have had some guidance and sense of self preservation .reared in pens like battery chicks doesn't teach them anything about living in fields .
Thats why so many get eaten by foxes and get run over .
They are like domestic chickens let lose.
