watched it on catch-up today. Excellent start to the series. Great acting by the wonderful Diana Rigg. Hope the Queen doesn't pass her a second glass of poisoned wine. (GoT themed gag)

Good programme.

I wonder what they're going to do for the time when she grows old. Going by pictures I have seen, Victoria is going to become wider than she is tall! That's going to take some serious make-up!

Am I the only one who finds a thin, pretty, doll-like actress in the role of a plump, plain real life Queen offputting? No, just me then. Shame, because otherwise it's an interesting drama but honest to God, the woman looks like she's about 20 and never even eaten a full meal, never mind had several pregnancies.

I'm sure she must have been reasonably pretty when she was younger.

After all, she had a couple of dozen or so children. Albert must have seen some sort of sexual attraction to perform!

She couldn't have been very old during the new series, 20's? I can't remember, before my time, but she must have been attractive when she was younger. I looked different in my 20's to what I look like now too.

Love the series but disappointed that they felt the need to make firm assumptions about albert's parentage in tonight's episode. It's not something that is exactly a historical fact but speculation at the time, a bit like rumours about harry now. I guess it made the episode more meaty but was it necessary?
