My Boy Jack

ITV3 yesterday

The story of Rudyard Kipling and his son John who was killed in WW1 at the Battle of Loos six weeks after enlisting .
It's very sad and highlights the terrible tragedy of war.

Re: My Boy Jack

With such poor sight he should never have been in the Army. His father knew about the appalling loss of lives so must have realized he would probably not come back.

Re: My Boy Jack

Was a very good film and highlighted the total futility of war. Jack's parents never did find out how or where he died, despite the film trying to show that they did get this information. Rudyard actually went to France to try to get more information, but could not find any - so very many young men were killed at this and the other battles.

Is that the film with Daniel Radcliffe as Jack? If so it is very moving.
