Re: Slowed right down

Rehab, I made a discovery tonight.

It is sticking bad tonight, I was using Chrome.

I changed to Google Internet Explorer, and it's not sticking at all, so it seems it is something to do with Chrome.

Anyone else got a 'go slow' with Chrome?

Re: Slowed right down

Seen this on a help site for the problem

"To anyone encountering similar issues... try disabling hardware acceleration.... it was a tenfold improvement for me on my laptop.

To disable it... type "chrome:settings" in the address bar, click Advanced Settings, then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" under the System header. Close all open Chrome browser instances and restart Chrome.

Chrome had always ran really well for me.... until rather recently. This seemed to fix my biggest problem of late. Give it a shot and let me know... curious how it works for others. Not sure why HW acceleration seems to be the culprit, nor what exactly changed that caused this issue."

Yes, sorry Bazza, I do that regularly anyway.

Thank you Judd, will try that idea next.

Chrome , esp if using and older PC , can be very sluggish

My old PC ( which I'm going to put Linux onto) can't cope with chrome at all. Firefox is Ok ish but Opera is just that bit nippier

Thanks Missy.

I am trying Firefox now, and it is much quicker - so far.

I agree with you on Opera Missy.
It is a fantastic browser.
It looks nice and it is very easy to remove all browsing data.
It also has a built in Ad Blocker which is very good as well.
