In fact, NATO has kept the peace in Europe since the Second World War.
The existence of NATO has certainly helped to keep the peace but I think the unity and mutual cooperation of EU members has done more to promote peaceful co-existence.

Of course, the EU would prefer to have rich countries for obvious reasons!

When Catalonia attempted to gain its independence recently, the EU failed to condemn Spain's high-handed response. The EU wants to keep as many parts of Europe under its rule.

It goes without saying, of course, that the EU would really like to keep the UK under the jackboot, as we are a very attractive cash cow.

They didn't interfere with our Northern Ireland troubles. Unless there is a civil war in Spain I don't see why they should be involved. To become an EU member you have to satisfy certain criteria. That's why turkey is not a member.

In your opinion.

If there has been no mutually beneficial co-operation between member states it’s odd that the government has expressed a wish to continue that co-operative relationship post Brexit. Trade, security and intelligence, the EU nuclear body and various types of research are just a few things which spring to mind. I’m sure there are other examples.

Hi

We are leaving the nuclear agency, Euratom.

It is one of May's red lines, because it is overseen by the ECJ.

This an unbelievable act of self harm costing the UK £Billions.

Euratom is based in the UK and is at the forefront of nuclear technology, developing the next generation of reactors, the Fusion Reactor.

Euratom has maintained its legally distinct nature and is the only remaining community organization that is independent from the European Union and therefore outside the regulatory control of the European Parliament.

The ECJ is the arbiter of any disputes.

There have never been any disputes.

China and the USA are also pumping money into the project, which is based in the UK, they are none EU Countries and they have no issues.

We are just leaving and chucking away all our investments and our share of the profits.

It is moving to the EU, taking with it our best best Nuclear Scientists and Engineers.

This is sheer stupidity.
