No need to delete or remove anything. As you suspect, because you are using your daughter's account and not your own, any emails sent to her will arrive at your phone too.

To prevent this, go into Settings/Users and Accounts and tap on the Google account icon and then the `Synch` icon. In there, you will see a list of everything that is synchronised to your (daughter's) Google account with a lot of slider buttons. Turn off the synch on each one.

Thanks all for the suggestions.

In the end, I went with Judd's - cos it made sense to my (woman's) logical brain and guess what, so far it's worked!
We've been 'what's apping' and no extra pinging.... yay!
