Oh that's awful, I lost my last dog when he was 3, he died from epilepsy.

It's always sad when they die but to go so young is awful.

Apart from that Twink, pups have never slept on their own before, they have never known what it is to lay in an empty bed and they miss the comfort of other warm bodies, smells and sounds around them.
It must be a bit like people who have slept with a partner all their life and suddenly they are gone. They pup feels lost, and when they cry for their Mum - she has gone too!

If it's any help doc, sometimes it can help to stuff old socks with something and make some puppy-sized 'sausages' to place around her in bed, or a couple of soft toys even.
Just a bit of psychological comfort.
