This thread is rather timely

We have hens and ducks and they are all regular layers

Thursday, got in from work, went to collect the eggs and only 2

Friday got home from work, went to collect the eggs and none

So checked down the field and the bank as Ive a couple of broody hens and thought they might have built nests outside - nothing

Saturday Mr Missy was off so sat and watched

Magpies!!!!

Landing in the chicken run and walking bold as brass into the coop and either eating the eggs there or taking them !!!!!


The coop is now decorated in windmills and cds and the magpies are now down the next field eating the hens feed there. Their coop is in a different area so could be safe
