High Cost of Care Homes
The treatment and cost of Care homes for the elderly in the UK is scandalousHow can a single room be worth £1,000,00 plus per week and there is no guarantee that you will not be neglected, or abused
You can stay in a first Class Hotel for £5.00.00 per week plus breakfast
Why aren’t these rate s controlled as a rented property is?
They employ cheap labour from immigrants, many who do not speak English and have not been trains in the care of the elderly.
This would not happen in other European Countries who respect their elderly citizens.
Of course, MP’s can afford high prices for their parents as they sit in one of their expensive homes and it is “San Fairy Ann” to the rest of us

Friends mum is in a Bupa care home for those with dementia it costs £1300 per week . They have sold mum's house and estimate that she can be there for 5 yrs , if she lives longer they will have to move her . Mind you the home is amazing the food wonderful and staff loving , he old folk taken on day trips and to events . We say we want to go live there too but could never afford it .
