It was because of the woman's bolshi attitude, the copper decided to show her how the animal would have suffered. That is all, nothing to do with species.

It was certainly nothing to do with which is the most important species in your eyes.
Most of us have seen your thoughts on animals many times in the past, so no need to provoke more arguments about it now.

To me, any life is important, I'd have felt the same if it had been a budgie left to die.

The species is irrelevant, it was the stupid, selfish, arrogant, no remorse, owner's attitude after being caught that rattled the copper even more, and I don't blame him for one second. Her attitude was appalling.
Spot on Mups. I know my dog is my baby and a huge important part of my and my husbands life.

Cruelty to animals, deliberate or otherwise gives me the red mist more than anything. Animals are just innocent creatures doing what they do.
Dogs especially, are loving animals and loyal to the owners. It's easy to forget they too have emotions.

I'll probably end up doing time over it one day, as if I ever saw someone hurting an animal, I'd beat them within an inch of their lives!...

I was thinking that last night when I took my dog on a long walk. We had let him off the lead and my husband was teasing him by hiding behind a big tree and my little pooch got really upset because he couldn't see him so I made my husband come out from behind that tree, he's so so loyal and loves us as much as we love him.

Here is a graphic I made for my quotes page on facebook. It's so true

Re: Good on that policeman

Whenever we take our girls in the car when it’s hot we bring an extra set of keys and leave the car running with the air conditioning on and periodically check on them if we are out shopping. In the winter we leave the heat on, and they not only have warm doggie beds but also double lined fleece coats.
They are very well cared for. These are our kids regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Yes and the doors are locked We have been doing it for years now with no issues. They longest they’ve been left is maybe a half an hour with a check in between that, so 15 minutes at a time.

If someone were to steal our car we would know exactly where they are but stuff like that doesn’t happen where we live

Good grief Bratti, I wouldn't dare do that here.
Apart from anything else, if the car was broken into, I would think any insurance claim would be invalid because the keys were left in and they would say it was an open invitation to criminals.
