White vinegar has so many uses, I personally would be lost without it.

I live in a very hard water area, so thanks for two great tips, I will try them both. I've been using one of the expensive cleaners and have to do it at least once a week. I've had my kettle for quite a while now, and only think of buying a new one as I've broken the lid.

I know this is in older thread, but I was just thinking today that I should probably replace my kettle but will now try the white vinegar and see how it goes Ta for the tip!

Update: the white vinegar worked a treat! My kettle is now almost like new so I don't have to buy a new one. Thanks again
