Sorry Eccles but blogs are a great way to share interests such as hobbies. At least the ones i follow are. Seen far more personal stuff written on this forum.

I don't think I'd do one (blog) I dont do anything interesting enough. If it doesn't hurt anyone and folk are interested I don't see the harm, even if no one looks at it.
I do run a couple of FB groups though, one is for amateur photographers who don't have expensive equipment, just take photos for fun. Mainly because I found camera clubs very snobbish about equipment and skills. We have some good stuff posted and no one picks fault with it!
I also have a local Steampunk group which has about 70 members.
I think I prefer the feedback on groups, blogs could be very lonely!

Thank you, Nom, it is good to know that.

The way I see it is - diaries are private - blogs are a way of sharing information. I am looking forward to the 1st June and participating in the 'Go Wild' campaign - and to reading what others have done/seen each day.

Does anyone ever write a blog in this forum? A travel or holiday blog with lots of photos for instance? Would thete be any interest in that do you think?

I started a blog on my last trip for my family to keep up with where I was. It was an interesting experience for me and I think I got better at it as I went on.

My kids and relatives in general caught up with it intermittently though a cousin read it every day apparently.

I haven't touched it since I returned home but at the end of October I am off again for a couple of weeks so might revive it then.

Whether it is interesting or not I don't know, make up your own mind:

Not a blog as such just about my Autumn adventures, but there is little enthusiasm on the site about wildlife / nature in the UK, i need some kittens or meercats,

I have a blog on my home page and link back to it via my FB page.

I try to write about once a month which isnt often but I try to be personal and hopefully thought provoking.

I include pictures both on my blog page /website and FB lage.
