Would you want to live to 117? Watch all your close friends and family die and be the only one left from your generation? It must be lonely to lose those links to your past identity.

Emma Morano born in 1899 just died. Her doctor said it was down to genetics, diet (raw eggs!) and personality.

Don't think so. Maybe if we had all our marbles it might be ok 'ish, but not much chance that ones family would out live you.

There again, life expectancy is naturally on the way up .

I would hate it, I mean having your children and even grandkids die before you, gosh it would be terrible and not natural.

Three centuries, that's quite something but no, I would hate to live so long and be dependent on other people.

She was an amazing lady to live that long.
Personally I feel it all depends on how loving your family are.
I certainly would like to live that long if I had all my faculties that is.
I think thats the word I am looking for.

I don't think I will make it though I have days now where my mind is off galavanting somewhere in the clouds.

Who verifies her birth certificate? no one left alive to witness it as authentic

Oh no , not for me . Sometimes I feel that I don't belong in this world even now !
