Poor cat

Coming home this morning after walking Murohy and there he was under a lampost just past the firestation obviously dead with the blood oozing from his head.
A lovely black cat.

We couldnt stop because its a 4 lane road but I phoned the animal ambulance who said they would pick him up..

Later on Murphys FB page I saw an appeal for a lost cat in the right area and told the people what we had seen ..Sure enough its their 'beloved' Max.

When will people learn? They live next to the ring road where the traffic roars past at 70 kph on 4 lanes in each direction with the fire trucks coming and going all day as well. Yet they think the cat has to roam and now that cat has paid with its life ..

Point is the people who claim to love this cat so much will most likely have a new cat next week and that will be allowed to roam as well..

What a shame, Cass. Poor cat.
You can only hope it was instant and he didn't suffer.

Re: Poor cat

I've often wondered how they call themselves animal lovers when they let their pets risk death daily...Would you do the same with a dog or a rabbit?

Fine on the farm....but not in the city.

What can one do?? The late
Conker was always semi wild-he walked in front of buses in Leeds-two paws up. He moved to the `country` but found a quarry with rabbits. One day he did not come home.
