Slugs and Flies

Last year the garden was infested with 'orrible huge slugs, especially after rain...I haven't seen a one yet. And the usual damned flies that come in the open windows seem absent too...even the pest buzzing round my monitor late at night.

Re: Slugs and Flies

We've not seen many slugs this year (so far) but plenty of little gnats, bees, and other flying things and a lot of 'em bite.

Some slugs here, one of my new herbaceous plants had lots on it when I went out with a torch

Plenty of blackfly too, my blackcurrant bush was covered making all the leaves curl up .

Re: Slugs and Flies

Very very few slugs here or snails probably due to the large quantity of pellets I put down last September must have killed a vast quantity of the blimmin pest's.....

Re: Slugs and Flies

Slugs are a big problem in my garden yuk they make me sick. I do have a family of hedgehogs that help but only way is to catch the blighters and put them in the fields near me. I am surprised at the amount of Blackfly this year, the dahlias are covered.
