My Mum knitted me a mohair sweater back in the 70's. It took her about three years and the arms almost touched the floor - plus it itched like hell. I never wore it obviously.

I also found amongst her stash, cut out picture of Andrew and Fergie's baby "free posters" of them with Princess Beatrice, Charlie and Diana too.
I always thought she was a strange woman!
There was so much wool I could start a wool shop, I won't, but, I could!
I need it all!

Old photos like that could be worth something in a specialist auction. I would take them to a local auction house for free valuation

I might be a bit weird but I used to like scrunching the wool in the plastic covering because it made a nice crackling sound.

Unfortunately the oldest are in a book which has no covers so no date. Also some little imp has scribbled on lots of them without much artistic skill (I'd have drawn beards on them)
