A very friendly dog

We were sitting outside a café today having a coffee and saw what surely is the World's friendliest dog. I think he was a Newfoundland (huge) and was sitting by a table with his owners. He was attracting a lot of attention anyway because of his size but as people passed him, he was offering his paw to them to 'shake hands'. Everyone obliged of course. His paws were as big as a human hand, if not bigger but he was so gentle with it.

There was a small poodle at another table who was going berserk at him (probably jealous of the attention) but he took it all in his stride.

Our Jackie (Love my Boys) on here, is a Newfie owner.
Very striking looking dogs.

I think a lot of the giant breeds are gentle souls, which is just as well with their size and weight.

but I think they would be happier at the North Pole .
