I would love to go to that, so pleased you enjoyed it.

I started watching GW when Geoff Hamilton started annoying some of the other gardening presenters by trialing organic gardening, especially peat free compost.

I do love Monty though, I find him quite sensual

Hi

Any of you remember the original, Percy Thrower?

Filmed in his garden at Bomere Heath, he was in charge of Parks and Gardens in Shrewsbury.

He completely redesigned The Quarry, the big park in the middle of town.

His planting plans for the Dingle are still used today.

A bit of a lad our Percy was, many were surprised he had time for gardening, what with all his lady friends.

I remember Percy, I understand he was a curmudgeonly old so and so

Funny you should say that Swims. They were showing some old film of him on Mony's programme the other evening. Was it back around the 60's he peaked?
