word 2010

Good morning all,
I am wondering if any of you knowledgable folk can help me, I have word 2010 which allows me to have a copy on two computers at the same time. My question is can they be syncronised so that identical copies of a document appear on both. I hope that makes sense and someone may have the answer or even a pointer in the right direction.
Thanks,
Brian.

Re: word 2010

You could set up a network and then share documents. This means you only have the one document, so if you move to the 'other' computer you would have the updated document to work on - the same document.

There are lots of pages outlining how to go about this. Not read this one but it will probably do ...

Thanks,

If you have one drive, in your 2010 MS Office and on both PCs, just make Word 2010 save these files on One drive. Then set Word to open the one drive file from whichever PC you are on.

I do this and it works fine.

Re: word 2010

Thank you TedC, MKJ and Purwell for your replies very much appreciated. I have just tried out setting up a homegroup as one possibility but although it works I found there was too much faffing around so I will now be looking at the options you all suggest. I suspect it is a case of trial and error but at least you have given me something to go on so thank you again.

Re: word 2010

I'd go along with Ted's suggestion with your iDrive. I do something similar with my Google Drive.
