I agree. The Glasto Festival is about the music, not someone using the venue for political purposes. If I had paid good money to see some top acts I would be really pissed off having to endure this guy or anyone else for that matter spouting about their particular brand of politics.

For some reason it reminded me of another rally, one that took part in Nuremberg in 1938 where a party leader (forget the name ) was cheered by brainwashed adoring crowds.

Spouting about austerity? Not much of that at Glastonbury with tickets at almost three hundred quid a pop.

Seems you have a few members who disagree...take it you think they are not decent then?

This one should still work....

Lots of "snowflake" emotive appeal but very little content - a bit like May's speech in Downing Street when she first took over from Cameron.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn's Full Speech to Glastonbury 2017

There were plenty of other things going on at Glastonbury, there's more than one stage for a start, no one was forced to stand and listen to him. Those that did were cheering. If May had been there it would have been different.
It's not all young people either, lots of older folk attend.

Come to think of it, it could have been locals, they get cheap tickets and their last bank has closed. That would make them angry at the Tories!

I can't thank why an older person would want to attend Glastonbury .
It doesn't look like fun to me but each to his own .

And there's stupid me thinking that the banks were closing branches because they are now little used and expensive to maintain, a commercial decision in fact, when all along it's the fault of those damned tories! Hang on it's starting to rain, bloody conservatives.....

Re: Jeremy Corbyn's Full Speech to Glastonbury 2017

Bloody hell! It was a speech at a pop concert. What did you expect? The Gettysburg Address? I have a Dream?

Oh, for goodness sake as politician's speeches go it was pretty good. He's no Paul Keating but it wasn't a bad speech after an election.

As for blaming Labor for your current troubles, they didn't cause the GFC from which you have never recovered and they certainly didn't force the pound down to its current lows. No political party is the font of all wisdom and certainly not a party that thinks Boris Johnson and his mates are potential leaders.
