Garden Transformation
I really enjoy my garden. There are a number of places to sit, the rose arch, the arbour, the patio, and a couple of random chairs. I find it really relaxing, particularly so when I was working. I would get home,change, have a meal, and then spend summer evenings pottering about in the garden until the light was going. I am proud of it, and receive many compliments from casual visitors. Especially as there is no formal plan. I just add a bit here and there as the fancy takes me.But it was not always so. When we moved in we inherited a really neglected plot, which was going to take years of work to make presentable. The irony being that we bought the house from a professional landscape gardener.
Here are the before and after shots fro roughly the same point.It was hard work, but well worth it, and I do have a gardener now for two hours a week to help with the heavier stuff.

Great stuff PaddyI only have a small garden in fact the back is more of a courtyard but I make the most of it and its a real suntrap... I might take some pics and post them, don't expect much though as I said I am not very knowledgeable I just plant things I like.... goes off to find a camera
