Yes but no where as good as these on here , I had a Sparrow Hawk sitting on my fence a week ago , I manged to get a video of it but it was shakey.

Thank you to you both. He was taken through the double glazed window, if I'd opened it he'd have flown away. He'd already missed the birds on the bird table & they were all in the trees yelling at him. I know Sparrowhawks have to eat too, but I was glad he'd missed.

The setting. Two dogs playing, when Ellie, the white Boxer heroine of this story, alerted us to strange noises coming from the fire.



When we opened the firebox we saw nothing, but could still hear strange noises. Was the fire enchanted? Was it possessed? Had a demon entered our home intent on evil?
Then I saw a feather sticking out below the deflector plate.



Carefully I dismantled the fire to find this little sooty fellow. It had fallen down the flue liner and got trapped.



Very weak and looking forlorn, I took it outside and gave it a few sips of water with a medicine spoon.



It was touch and go at first, but eventually it gained enough strength to fly away. Huzzah!

Well done Ellie. She are normally very confused by the birds in our garden. She sneaks up on them but they jump up in the air and don't come down again like she does. She are very confused, but then she are very dim.
