I've just come across something interesting I never knew.

In 1984 , Operation Moses and in 1991 Operation Solomon there were military operations by the Israeli Air Force to airlift out Ethiopian Jews from the Sudan and take them to Israel.

Presumably they feel they've now reached saturation point and are averse to any more immigrants?
