Re: bottled water wright or wrongSTUFF ?

I drink lots of tap water but never bottled water, especially the flavoured, sparkling water! Yuk!

When l go to the pub quiz each week, l have a few soft drinks but then l go onto glasses of water! Then, l give the ‘drunks’ in my team, a lift home!!

Did you know that any establishment that sells alcohol has to by law, provide free tap water if requested?
If they refuse and you report them to the licensing authority, the penalty for breaching a licence condition in England and Wales is six months in prison, a possible fine of up to £20,000, and the cancellation of their alcohol licence.

Re: bottled water wright or wrongSTUFF ?

We live in a community of about 400 houses on a community well. When we moved here over 20 years ago, it was known for its great tasting water (nice cold hard water full of minerals). But then in another community in our province, a couple of brothers who oversaw the water system were drinking on the job and not testing the water and falsifying reports...and things went wrong and several people died (lots more sick). The province 'upped' the chlorine levels across the board, including here. Maybe I am just overly sensitive, but now I often find the water doesn't taste very good - has a faint bit of a bleach odour. So we buy bottled water. At work, i have a glass water bottle with rubber mesh coating so it is not as breakable, and we have a water fountain with a special water bottle spout that turns on and off automatically when you hold/remove a water bottle under it to fill. So not overly in favour of plastic water bottles, but it is the most convenient at home since I won't drink the tap water.

I always ask for tap water, both in pubs and restaurants. I should be going to a Christmas lunch later this week and it will be tap water for me.

I drink bottled water when visiting the UK. Tap water in the area of Essex that I visit tastes strongly of chlorine and is awful.

I would arrange that we meet up somewhere for a drink after the funeral darlin', but all these hospital visits and visits to the vampire clinic is seriously hampering all other things that I need to do before Xmas.
