Jigsaws

I can't stand doing jigsaws myself, but my husband is BRILLIANT at them in spite of having only half a functioning brain. He does ones with 500 or 1000 pieces.

I usually buy him a jigsaw featuring a photo I have taken. I try to take photos, which will make the jigsaws as hard as possible so he doesn't do they too quickly.

Re: Jigsaws

I enjoy doing jigsaws, as does Mr Mags. Our recent ones have been of places we have visited and our current one on the go is the 1000 piece Mostar Bridge in Bosnia...

Re: Jigsaws

My dad used to enjoy doing jigsaws. He would complete a puzzle then frame it and hang them all around the house.
I haven't got the time or the patience. And those jisaws which are pictures of baked beans mystify me. Who does those? I once saw a 1000 piece jigsaw that was just sand!?

It's a nice idea with the family photographs though, Tara

Re: Jigsaws

We enjoy jigsaws over the winter months, in fact I've just had a couple of hours on one.

Re: Jigsaws

I used to enjoy them as a child, kept a couple of my favourites...but these days I prefer word games.
I believe there's a jigsaw thread on here?

Clever you Tara that's a lovely idea.

Re: Jigsaws

I bought this Red Arrows jigsaw at the Air Show in August and I've abandoned making it as the sky is so difficult, all the pieces are the same shape too. I have it on a Portapuzzle case and it's now out of sight out of mind

Re: Jigsaws

I am threatening to take a photo of the tarmac on our drive, and have that made into a jigsaw, that would be quite hard to do!

Re: Jigsaws

I can't stand them, but I do love cryptic crosswords. It's all in the wiring of the brain I guess.

Re: Jigsaws

Maybe a jigsaw puzzle of a crossword puzzle. That wouldn't be easy (if the numbers were missing!)
