Re: Attractive v unattractive

Of course it's true. Makes perfect sense really. People are attracted to handsome/beautiful faces, and initially assume they have equally attractive personalities. If you're a beautiful woman it doesn't matter whether you're selfish, a pathological liar or as manipulative as hell - you're still going to draw men to you. I know several females who fit this type, all of them very unpleasant characters who seem to take pleasure in their power to mess up lives, leave their partners heart broken and use everyone else as it pleases them. Same probably goes for good looking men.

Before I'm slated - it goes without saying that this doesn't apply to ALL men and women, but as a general rule yes, attractive people generally do well in their careers and at least in finding a partner initially.

I do however think beauty is a mixed blessing.

It's so sad apparently it starts in childhood .
Unattractive children are considered less bright than their peers.
They are given less attention from teachers .
Attractive criminals are even given lighter sentences .

Definitely. Loads of doors have opened to me because of how handsome I am.

Careful Mark, the doors may open but your head may not fit through them

Don't think I've honestly ever seen any evidence of any of those things Muddy? Do you really think any decent teacher would not pay much attention to an unattractive kid in class?
And would a good looking murderer get a lesser sentence?

If all attractive people were made to wear bags on their heads the World would be a better place.
