Nice one Goldie.
You just reminded me of one of my favourites by him.
Forever In Blue Jeans.
Ooooh I love that man.
Forever in Blue Jeans
Sweet Caroline
Love on the Rocks
Cracklin' Rose
Song Sung Blue
Shilo
And so on . . . .
Oh yeah, and the Tony Christie "Way to Amorillo" was always a good foot stomping one, as has been said already.
I much prefer the music from that era than most of todays songs. Leona Lewis did some good songs but when she buggered off to America I think she lost a lot of her fans here. Pity.
It's probably a sign of old age when you expect to hear the words of songs, but I find so many modern songs I can't decipher what the 'eck they're singing about, so that spoils it for me, because I'm a sucker for nice words.

I agree with you Mups.
The songs of those eras could be heard clearly, and the overall sound quality was better than today.
Today's music is mostly synthesized rubbish with hardly a real musician to be heard.
