Reading festival

Nathan's just trying to pack all he will need in a tiny bag, only allowing bags no bigger than A4 paper size this year.

Line up looks good, he's a fan of Eminem so he's rather pleased to have tickets !

Anyone else going this year ? Last time we went was about 10 years ago when we decided it may be time to stop struggling through mud and using grotty loos

Re: Reading festival

Last time I went to a festival was early in the 1970s. Other than a night club playing rave music, I cannot imagine anything worse nowadays. Bah Humbug etc etc.

Hi

There is a reason for this, simple security.

TATP is the explosive of choice nowadays, an A4 bag does not allow shielding.

Oh yes we are happy to comply swim, better to be safe than sorry. It's just he wanted to take a few presents for some friends but we have worked that out my husband will meet them all after the event and bring the pressies in the car.

A very sensible solution Julie.

Better bands (IMO) headlining in the 70s. Hawkwind, Yes, Rory Gallagher, Dr. Feelgood etc. Last time I went in 1976 (where's my life gone? ), reggae was just making an appearance.

Re: Reading festival

I saw Alice Cooper and the Stranglers there in '87 (I think). We had a day ticket. Last festival I went to was Latitude five years ago. Highly recommend that at any age.

Re: Reading festival

We used to go to Glastonbury every year I can remember changing nappies on Tasha in the boot of the car to get out of the mud, and hanging on tight to Jordan and Nathan's collars so we didn't get separated in the crowds ! They remember it too which is why I think Nathan enjoys them so much.
