Re: Parkinson's diesease

Billy Connolly had Parkinsons. I remember hearing him talking about it once. He said he didn't know until he was out one night, when a man approached him, who turned out to be doctor, and suggested to Billy he should see his own Gp, 'cos of the way he walked, the doctor said people with that 'gait' show the early signs of Parkinsons. I was worried 'cos i have a similar gait, an uneven balance when i walk, as if i'm drunk. But my doctor said i had nothing to worry about.
Being here by myself i worry a bit what i'd do if i started to need help.

Sam, if your doc says you are alright, I would try to put it out of your head.

There are quite a few of us on this forum on our own, so I do understand what you mean about the "What if's," but I would honestly try not to worry in advance.

Good news.

I remember seeing a tv programme about the effects MDMA(ecstasy)can have on Parkinson's....the results were amazing.

One guy took about 15 minutes just to put his coat on and had to drink from a lidded cup......gave him MDMA and his shaking disappeared totally.

The transformation was fantastic.

Why does society frown upon "illegal" drugs that help the sick?
