Walter Becker RIP

Sad to hear of Steely Dan Founder Walter Becker passing (67)
Becker and bandmate Donald Fagen wrote some of the 1970s biggest hits, including 'Rikki Don't Lose that Number', 'Do It Again' and 'Reelin' in the Years' a

A class band and musician.

Re: Walter Becker RIP

Some classic Steely Dan albums: Aja, Can't buy a Thrill, Countdown to Ecstasy, Katy Lied, Pretzel Logic, The Royal Scam - virtually every track a standout .....

Walter Becker was a truly great musician .....

Re: Walter Becker RIP

I can only agree with all you say Omah. I think I have nearly all Steely Dans albums. I saw them a few years back at The Stuttgart Jazz Festival. This is truly sad news.

Re: Walter Becker RIP

I spent about two years at work listening to their music over and over. A great band and a bit underated in my opinion.

Re: Walter Becker RIP

Becker is loss of a most unique talent. In the last concerts I saw Steely Dan play, they were as tight and solid as ever. Becker, like Fagen, was an interesting, accomplished man outside the music world, and a professional who was true to his art and career. Well done, Mr. Becker.
