Even Better than the real thing

I usually hate this sort of show but this one is fabulous. It's a competition between tribute acts. They are just interviewing "George Michael" and he looked amazingly like him performing. Some of these people are incredibly talented and also have great personalities. A real feelgood show.

Have to say that I disagree - I was compelled to watch this at a visit to my mothers and if you excuse the use of the vernacular, I thought it was shite. Certainly, some looked like those they were portraying, Elton John and Madonna, maybe Shirley Bassey but none of them sounded like them. The only one saving grace was that `Whitney Houston` didn't sing her god-awful bastardised version of I Will Always Love You.

This epitomises all this type of stuff, you can look like someone, you can sound like someone, but, can you create?, but, if you can create, and not look like someone, you need to be content with a comfortable life, above the living wage.

Elvis didn't write any music or songs. I suppose he created with his voice, but he was the ultimate tribute act.

Let's just hope he found contentment, if not, he should have passed the visuals onto someone else.
