No of course not.

Those sites are bait. Many exist purely for the purpose of catching the perps who visit the sites.

Similarly you can be sure that all jihadist related sites are being constantly monitored and those people who visit them equally will be being monitored.

Think about how Facebook pulls together all your website surfing habits and builds a complex profile about you and all the people connected to you.

You'd be naïve not to realise that the security services are doing the same but on a much deeper level. They'll be tracking people visiting dubious sites. Tracking people who purchase weapons on the net. Tracking people who are buying certain chemicals which can be used to make bombs and so on.

I have no doubts that there are masses of activity going on all the time. As an ex-programmer, systems analyst and data expert I can easily anticipate the type of algorithms that will be in place to join up all the various dots and then flag up a hit list of people that need to be monitored.

The technology, intel and data will not be the issue. As Swimfeeders has often stated, the problem will be actual man-power, the human resources needed to undertake constant monitoring of high threat individuals.
Thanks for explaining that Realist.

Re: Should we give more powers to our security services?

Hi

A personal view.

Realist may well be right, I do not agree with his Conspiracy Theories, but he has a great insight into what is possible using Technology.

We have GCHQ, the best in the World, this is then fed into a system which has many levels of input and a vast number of different levels of Access to this information.

We cannot crack the Encryption on whatsapp etc, nor those who use TOR.

That is irrelevant, we know who is using it, which is what really matters.

This is important, we know the difference between who is accessing it as part of their job and the Kurds and Yazidis and Christians and Sikhs and Buddhists who are using it to track down ISIS and get them.

The Issue is this.

Your Enforcement Agencies are nobbled.

We only Inspect a % of vehicles entering the UK, the rest can get in unchecked.

That is purely a Money Saving Operation.

When I first started on Port Health, every single one was inspected.

From time to time, the Spooks would say, leave that that one. which you did, you never asked questions.

Nobody and nothing got in through the Ports.

Now we have a completely different situation.

They pour through, at high volumes we only inspect 40% of HGVs, in Airports, at High Volumes, we just wave people through.

Your Enforcement Officers have a great number of Powers, they are stopped from using them.

Find a HGV full of Illegal Immigrants and your Enforcement Officers have the powers to send them back immediately to France or Belgium from whence they came.

The Government refuses to do this.

Find an Illegal Immigrant who has not applied for Asylum and out they go, we are prohibited from doing this.

We are forced to release them on bail and allow them to apply for Asylum even though they have been here for years working illegally.

Your Enforcement Officers, those which are left after the vast cuts, are not to be blamed, it is purely down to our Politicians.

Take the gloves off and get rid of those who are a threat.

I have no wish or desire to go back to work.

Merkel who caused all this, has realised her mistake, she has re employed her Enforcement Officers and is getting rid of those Migrants who pose a threat, 600,000 going.

They keep their Pensions and get paid for it.

Poland has refused point blank to take any Economic Migrants.

Poland does take however take those who have helped their troops abroad and really looks after them.

A Government Job and Pension and Housing.

Most of them are Kurds, Yazidis and Christians, a very few Shias.

All perfectly acceptable under EU Law.

They use them as Border Guards and Prison Officers.

We have a lot to learn.

We need a Piotrków Trybunalski Prison, perfectly acceptable under EU Law.

No contact with the outside World, Female Guards and if you do not eat Halal, you will starve.

No access to the Koran, no Prayer Mats, no access to others, an hour a day exercise, on your own.

You will never see another prisoner, you will never make a phone call, your cell is a Faraday Cage.

So have Slovakia & Hungary.
However, as usual they are now being "threatened" by the EU if they don't.

They are quite open and honest. They have stated that they have no desire for their culture to be diluted - especially by Islam.
