Lovely sunshine here . I made a start on washing down all my bits and pieces on the balcony but didn't get far . When did I get so old and decrepid??

Never thought I'd say this, there are armed police on the streets of Hay on Wye today. The Festival has started and there were 30 or more bus loads of primary school children there today - what a responsibility. All well, thank God.

Rained during the night-cloudy this morning,thankfully it's not so humid.
No plans for the weekend.Stocked up with goodies yesterday so if someone calls I can feed them(typical Welsh Mam!)

Good morning everybody. Haven't seen any armed .on the streets but they are in the Train Stations in town. Going along to the local food fair later this afternoon

What a storm last night , thunder and massive flashes of lightening. I got out of bed and the whole sea was light up
Grey and misty today and rain looks as if its in for the day
I washed a big pot of sea shells so that's my job of the day

Don't think we had any storms during the night, but I could have missed it! When I sleep, I sleep!! What flippin' weather we have. Three days heat wave and now it's cold enough for me to wear a coat to walk the dog.....

The armed police were in Hay because of the Festival - I'm not certain but think Camilla was there yesterday, so perhaps they were there especially for her.

Crisis phone call this afternoon. "Are you free to have the boys?" Son & DIL had an urgent call to clean some sheep (to guard against fly-strike) and guess what, Jamie had broken his arm. He went to stay with a friend yesterday and this morning jumped out of a bedroom window onto a trampoline - as you do. Not sure how he landed but he's broken both bones in his left arm and is in a cast from wrist to above his elbow. He's feeling very sorry for himself (and a bit of a fool I think). Will probably be seeing quite a lot of both of them this week, half term!
