I think it’s because MOST posters enjoy a sense of ridiculousness, and that they can easily see the silliness and humour in a lot of posts, but like all posts you have to be aware that there are a couple of posters (those that have undergone the humour transplant) who reside on the outrage bus. They actively search for posts that they can be offended by. Hence the feeble attempt to derail the thread.
