Re: Robert Hooke
I've got a biography of Isaac Newton and how he came upon the theory of gravity, his work on optics, and calculus. The biography also had a section on Robert Hook and their rivalry. Newton and Hooke basically hated each other's guts as both were petty and secretive in their work especially their work on gravity so when Hooke joined the Royal Society Newton made his life a misery even down to destroying Hooke's portraits after his death.Thread Tools | |
